/PROJECT 6, Fibonacci
»Fibonacci« emerged and designed itself by the uncompromising construction of mathematic relations.
Fibonacci was an ancient mathematician who found the golden ratio, a certain harmony of proportion which can be found in various shapes. The draft was developed in a project with an italian producer of glass bottles. The shape is based on the standardized lid which is obliged by the industrial production. The lid as a given size is used as the starting point, multiplying the factor 1,6180339887 to decide all other measurements. Being based on a mathematical formula the design of the shape at the same time is logical and mathematical as it is also left to coincidence, since the starting point is chosen by another independent factor. The traditional, ancient understanding of harmony is brought to an industrial, massproduced context and builds up some kind of tension to the shape.
