Wood gains elasticity and agility when turned into veneer. This textile character makes it possible to substitute glue by stitching the layers with the sewing machine. The so created loop modules assemble the arrangement of folds which appear in stiff and heavy fabrics. By taking the grain of the wood into account the loops are very stabil. the weight and the twisting and bending of the modules influence the translucency of the structure and extrapolates the textile character of the material into the room. In order to save material, in the process the modules got more slender. Also the seam was replaced by a single thread, which was able to utlize the tension of the module. as a consequence the loops gained height without increasing the amount of material. Also the contrast between compressed and relaxed loops was intensified as well as the effect of the translucency.
